Mrs. Cousar is originally from Oakland, CA and moved to Arkansas during her teenage years. Amber graduated from an (HBCU)Philander Smith College in Little Rock, AR and received her Bachelor’s of Science in Social Work. She also holds a Masters of Science in Behavioral Studies from Capella University. Amber believes “Leadership” is not about a title or destination, it is the supreme quality for unquestionable integrity (a quote that has stuck with her a long time)!! She is married with one son, one bonus son and two bonus daughters. Amber likes to relax in her spare time with candles and her aromatherapy–while listening to music or reading a book.

Mrs. Stephanie McDonald

Mrs. McDonald has been with the Dekalb County School District since 2002 and has served in different areas, including the District Office. She studied Elementary Education at Grand Canyon University. Stephanie is married, has one son and a grandson. She enjoys cooking, spending time with her family and relaxing while watching Hallmark movies. Stephanie’s faith and family support keep her strong and hopeful knowing that, her purpose is making a difference in the lives of others.

Registrar Responsibilities:

  • Onsite Enrollment and Withdrawals
  • Registration of New Students (between the hours of 8:00AM-12:noon)
  • Data Entry (new address, telephone numbers, email, emergency contact, etc.)
  • Review Grade Reports for Teachers
  • Process/Print Progress Reports and Report Cards
  • Record Requests
  • Input Approved Teacher Grade Corrections/EOC Test Scores

Mrs. Deyonda Edwards

Mrs. Edwards serves the students, faculty and parents of Tucker High School as a school data clerk. Deyonda has experience in the finance world and also has a security business. She is currently, pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting CPA and a Sunday School Teacher as well. She is married, the mother of three children, and has a dog named Ebony. She enjoys spending her free time relaxing and reading.

Mrs. Brandi Beavers

Post- Secondary Transition Specialist- (Office located in the Media Center-corner to the left)

Brandi Beavers

Hometown: Darlington, SC.

Mrs. Beavers serves the students, faculty and parents of Tucker High School as a Post Secondary Transition Specialist. Brandi worked within the financial aid departments of two higher educational institutions and the Georgia Student Finance Commission prior to joining the DeKalb County School District. She is a former Geologist and holds a Master of Science in Education as well as a Master of Art in History. She is a wife, and mother of three wonderful children–two of which have successful matriculation histories at the University of Georgia, Athens. As a mother of two college level students, Brandi educates from personal experience with 100% transparency and informative college and career advice.

Post-Secondary Transition Specialist Responsibilities:

  • Preparing students for post-secondary options
  • Analyzing district, state and federal college/career indexes
  • Identifying factors impacting academic success
  • Helping students complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Student Aid)
  • Attending educational fairs
  • Recognizing students who are at-risk of not graduating
